Individuals facing cancer often incur substantial financial burdens from purchasing medical supplies. For this reason, the Support House works to obtain a selection of medical supplies commonly used by patients during their treatment and rehabilitation. Supply availability changes based on donations and demand.

• Breast forms, bras and supplies for mastectomy patients: While we do not have a certified fitter on staff, patients may be fitted by a certified fitter and bring that information to us to choose from the items we have available. Ms. Billie Webster at Health Depot (1210 Cavanaugh Road, Fort Smith) will gladly provide a free fitting. Call (479)649-9500 or (800)328-2569 to schedule an appointment with Billie.

• Pharmaceutical Assistance: Limited emergency financial assistance for prescriptions may be available.

You or your loved one may be eligible for pharmaceutical assistance through one of the many participating programs. One of the ways to check eligibility is by going to the Partnership for Prescription Assistance website and applying online for the type of medication or prescription you require. If you need help with applications for these or other prescription programs, or you are unable to find your prescription on this list, we have volunteers and staff on site to assist you.
