Salon

Here at the Support House, we know that feeling confident about how you look on the outside can have a positive impact on how you feel on the inside, so we are pleased to offer the following services.

Salon Services

  • Wigs, hats, scarves & turbans: These supplies and fittings are offered to patients who experience hair loss during treatment. Patients are treated to a private fitting session in the House’s professional beauty salon.  The salon is open during House office hours and noSalon appointment is necessary.

Wigs made possible in part by a grant provided by the Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

  • Look Good, Feel Better: In conjunction with the American Cancer Society, we offer this two-hour workshop on the 2nd Monday of every month. Each session includes a 12-step skin care/make-up application lesson, demonstration of options for dealing with hair loss, and nail care techniques. Participants take home complimentary cosmetic kits in their appropriate skin tones (light, medium, dark, extra dark) with helpful instruction booklets. Please call for time and to register.
  • Spa Day: Lynette Hawley, with Beauty Control, pampers our patients on the 4th Wednesday of every month.  Participants are treated to a relaxing facial and a hand and foot treatment.  Please call for time and to register.
  • Miracle Sets: Debbie Hocott, with Mary Kay Cosmetics, provides moisturizing Miracle Sets for patients who experience dry skin during treatment. You’ll receive a set when you come in to register with us.

All of these supplies and services are offered at no cost to cancer patients. If you have questions about our salon services, would like to register for or donate services or supplies, please contact us.
