SURVIVORS’ CHALLENGE WEEKEND!!
On October 14th, the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House and the Western Arkansas Runners will hold the 26th Annual Survivors’ Challenge 10K & 5K Runs, 5K Walk and Celebration Walk. Thousands will lace up their sneakers to walk or run in this exciting community event that raises money to support the programs and services offered to cancer fighters and survivors and their families by the Reynolds Cancer Support House. The crowd and camaraderie grow as the sun comes up for a great morning of running or walking. And then, we will move the festivities downtown to First National Bank for the 2nd Annual Over the Edge rappelling event.
100% of the proceeds from Survivors Challenge stays in the River Valley to immediately impact the lives of over 5,000 local cancer fighters and survivors – who are also your family member, friend, coworker, and neighbor. Survivors’ Challenge also helps to bring awareness of this dreaded disease and the cost-free services available in ‘our’ community, which makes a significant difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Survivors Challenge represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported and that one day cancer will be eliminated.
Not a runner or walker but, still want to help? We need lots of volunteers to put on these two events.
